Lori Charvat is an experienced leadership and team coach, facilitator, mediator, and consultant, helping teams and organizations work more cohesively and effectively. She trained as a lawyer and holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.) and a Master of Laws (LL.M) in alternative dispute resolution. She also holds the Professional Certified Coach (PCC) designation through the International Coaching Federation. Seeing the workplace as a “community,” Lori incorporates principles of equity and humility with her passion for organizational development to support mutual accountability, connection and sustainability. Lori’s clients are diverse and include large, complex organizations in government, post-secondary education, health care, as well as tech start-ups and not-for-profits.
In addition to her work with Sandbox, Lori has served as a government appointed board member to the British Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons and now serves on its various committees. She is also a former Chair of he board of Mediate BC.
When not consulting, coaching or serving on a board, Lori spends her time hiking, swimming, cooking (without a recipe) and petting dogs. She is especially fond of active travel that includes trekking and biking. She walked the Camino de Santiago across Spain, twice, in 2015 and 2017 and is planning her next adventure.
