The journeys include at least one professional and personal milestone each year, envisioning what work, love, health and play will look like over the next five years. Each life vision delivers unique possibilities.
Three Lives
Life 1 is the story you tell today. It’s today’s life played it out over the next five years in the best way possible. Life 2 is your plan B. What if you couldn’t have 1 anymore? The pandemic made this a reality for all of us as we had to design new ways to work, be in relationships, manage our health, and play in very different ways. Life 3 is the “Wildcard Life” – a life you would live if you had no constraints. What if you didn’t care about money, others’ expectations, and all the routines of today’s life,?
My Wildcard Life!
I love to design this life as it gets me back to dreaming, imagining new possibilities and just leaving the “I cant” world behind. Three years ago, I visualized delivering Designing Your Life for Women in Italy, one of my favorite places in the world. I talked with our Italy partners in passing about this during a business meeting, and they introduced me to Matera, voted “the culture capital of Europe” in 2019. Our business meeting became a virtual tour of Matera, and I fell in love. Seriously, in love!
It’s Happening!
Fast forward a year later, and Francesca Parviero and I will be hosting a DYL retreat in Matera Italy for women who want to design a flourishing life. We will be including wellness, the magic of Matera, and new DYL content. This workshop sprung from a wildcard Odyssey, came to life as I spoke it into the world, and has me getting ready for September 27-29 with curiosity, joy and an open heart. Here’s to the wildcard!
