Terrence Hackett

For as long as I can remember, seeing people feel or act “stuck” has always crushed me. Whether it is seeing someone stuck in their life or their career — languishing and lost — I can’t handle it. For some reason, I’ve always believed in options. I’ve sided (more often than not) optimism. I have trusted in the power of ideas paired with hard work. I continue to believe that people can grow to be better versions of themselves. These are core beliefs. My strong sense of curiosity initially led me to journalism and then to a now 30-year career as a learning designer. Today, I lead a team of learning designers at McKinsey & Co. I am a frequent facilitator. I am a certified coach through the Hudson Institute of Coaching. Previously, I have worked at Deloitte in both their tax and consulting groups. I have run my own small learning consulting firm. I also worked at Jellyvision in Chicago and post-college, I worked for several daily newspapers.
