Anny is currently the Assistant Director of Experiential Education for Career Readiness at Rutgers University- New Brunswick. She holds a B.A. in History and Linguistics from Rutgers, and a M.S.Ed. in Higher Education and Student Affairs from Indiana University Bloomington. Using a cyclical career journey model to work with students, Anny and her team guide students in one-on-one advising sessions to discover their own career journeys and build their own paths that come in different stages of career preparation. In addition, she uses skill-discovery and self-assessment tools such as Traitify to help students better understand their strengths and interests. Anny also works with students in small groups to intentionally reflect on their extracurricular activities and and jobs as well as the transferable skills they gain from those experiences. She takes a skill-based approach to help students think about the next steps of their career journey, connect their skill development with career competencies outlined by the National Association of Colleges and Employers, and guide them on articulating these transferable skills on their resumes and in future interviews.
