The elements of life design coaching inspire Cearra’s coaching practices; through the framework, she guides employees through goal development, strength finding, and self-advocacy, using these tools with clients to identify future career steps. She aspires to help individuals identify spaces where they feel respected for their contributions and recognized for their values and strengths. While developing in her career, Cearra has turned to self-reflection to determine what growth opportunities aligned with her aspiration to help others find their calling, eventually leading her to higher education. Before serving in Knoxville, she was a counselor, career coach, and staffing specialist working to assist individuals in reaching their education and career aspirations through higher education, post-secondary enrollment, continuing education, and self-improvement. Cearra serves as a Career Development Coach on the Career Development team within the University of Tennessee, Knoxville’s Human Resources. Cearra received a B.S. in human resources from Minnesota State University – Mankato, an M. Ed in Higher Education from the University of North Carolina – Wilmington, and is pursuing an MBA from the University of Tennessee – Martin.
