As a university Career Services Director, assistant professor, and story scholar, I coach students, encouraging them to dig into life work options and create their unique road maps. Through the exploration of personal narrative, and using co-active and transformational coaching tools, students uncover their strengths, clarify goals, and navigate career choices.
My approach is holistic and student-centered, drawing on years of experience in higher education and professional development. I currently work at Maharishi International University, where we emphasize the expansion of human consciousness as part of our curriculum.
As an assistant professor, I understand the academic pressures and challenges students face, and provide tailored guidance to help them get the most juice from their college experience. I love holding space and enjoy the synergy of a group exploring and inventing together as they design their college and life experience through the DYL curriculum.
I hold a BFA in Creative and Professional Writing, an MA in Communications and Storytelling Studies, and have worked as a professional life skills facilitator, trainer, writing coach, and Family Member Employment Counselor for the US Army in Europe. My practice is currently based in Iowa, and I serve online students across the United States.
