Esha Modi is a Master’s student in Behavioural and Economic Science at the University of Warwick, specializing in the intersection of economics, psychology, and business. She serves as President of the Warwick Behavioural Insights Team, where she leads student consulting and research initiatives on real-world behaviour-change challenges, and focuses on how beliefs, narratives, and cognitive biases shape behavioral decisions and change, with a particular focus on happiness, well-being, and life satisfaction.
Her experience spans multiple projects across public policy, private enterprise, and media. She has worked with the Government of Tamil Nadu on social welfare and women’s empowerment initiatives, contributing to policy design and field engagement with vulnerable communities. She also works in her family’s 40+ year legacy business, Modi Pipes Pvt. Ltd., which operates across 15 Indian states, supporting consumer insights and behaviour-informed sales and communication strategies. As a contributor to The Hindu’s MetroPlus, she has written human-impact stories that bridge data, narrative, and lived experience. She speaks five languages and brings a cross-cultural lens to questions of well-being, life design, and happiness-oriented growth.
Alongside her academic and professional work, Esha is a model and actor, with a theatrical debut film set for global release, and a trained dancer who has performed with a Grammy-winning artist. She is committed to helping individuals and institutions design systems that are both effective and deeply human.
