Julie is a Work Integrated Learning Innovator and Educator with 30 years’ experience in Canadian higher education. She leads workplace learning and career programs for 19,000+ students in the Faculty of Arts at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. She is Founding Director of the UBC Arts Co-operative Education Program and in Fall 2021 launched the Compass Arts Student Engagement Hub, a set of programs and resources inspired by DYL. She designed and leads the Career Design Studio as part of Compass programming, coaching Social Science, Humanities, and Creative and Performing Arts students to design meaningful paths through their degrees and out into the world at graduation.
