Marcia is a recognized career and leadership coach to the legal profession. Editor and co-author of The Lawyer’s Career Management Handbook: Your Bridge to a Satisfying Career (West Publishing), Marcia’s expertise is supporting her clients in designing career paths that not only align with their values, skills and talents, but also fit into the life they want for themselves. She works with individuals at every stage, from just starting out in a new job to creating a retirement that brings purpose and joy to this next chapter, and every transition in-between.

Marcia’s background includes launching and running a successful consulting firm serving the professional development and career transition needs of the legal profession. Shannon & Manch grew to six offices around the country. In addition, Marcia most recently served as Assistant Dean of Georgetown Law’s Career Strategy Office, leading the career advising office for the largest law school in the U.S. She is a Certified Coach through Georgetown University’s Leadership Coaching Program and a Master Coach through the Behavioral Coaching Institute. Though based in the Washington, DC area, Marcia’s practice is virtual, and therefore, her clients are located throughout the U.S.
