Advice to a Younger Me: Kathy Davies

As an instructor of Designing Your Life at Stanford, and a master trainer and facilitator for Designing Your Life for Women workshops, Kathy Davies has the good fortune of meeting many talented young women starting out in their careers.  Kathy recently sat down with Sara Holtz to talk about using Design Thinking for career decisions, and shared some things she wishes she had known when she was back in her 20’s.

Take a listen to hear Sara and Kathy talk about the mythology of “your one true passion” and how Design Thinking can give people tools to iterate and prototyping to become un-stuck.  You’ll also hear more about Odyssey Planning – generating multiple options for ones future – and how it can release us from the belief that there is only one way to succeed.
