In addition to my coaching training and Designing Your Life tools, I utilize my master’s degree in conflict resolution, mindfulness training, and positive psychology methods to tailor my approach based on the client’s specific needs. I meet clients where they are, help them conceptualize where they want to go and create a tangible path with specific steps to meet their goals. Through deep listening and curious inquiry, I offer practical support and consistent accountability. I pair insight with action to create measurable change. Clients I work with have an intentional space to reflect and a thought partner available to support and guide the process. I tend to have a sweet spot for people in transition, whether it is a job that’s no longer working, a change in the family, or a personal loss, I find my approach to be particularly helpful for those leaving something behind and walking toward a new future.

Trinnie Kern
For over 20 years, I volunteered as an MIT Educational Counselor conducting alumni interviews on behalf of MIT to evaluate candidates as part of their admissions process. This experience gave me a unique perspective on what universities are genuinely looking for beyond what’s on paper. I loved the experience but wanted to do more to help college applicants and thus started independent college consulting. My practice is based on one-on-one support, and each student can expect an individually designed process with focused attention on him/her/them. I eventually realized that young adults continue to seek guidance after graduating from college. Therefore, I plan to use DYL’s tools to guide young adults after college in their life and career wayfinding.

David Warren
I specialize in helping individuals aged 50+ to create uniquely fulfilling “encore careers.” Such career transitions often seek a better balance of sustained income, personal fulfillment, and meaningful social impact. My approach begins with assisting clients to discover their career “true north” and identify opportunities that resonate with their passions, strengths, and stage of life. My own journey started with an MBA from the Harvard Business School, leading to a diverse career spanning international banking, management consulting, entrepreneurship, and C-Suite roles in the Americas, Europe, and Asia. However, rather than retiring, I wished to dedicate the next stage of my life to helping others find and realize their own “impossible” dreams. The result: I’m now living my dream – and love helping others find and live their own!

I want to support people in shaping their (professional) lives so that they can realise their potential and live a version of their best possible life. After a decade of creative work at university, TV stations and TV production companies, I trained in analytical group work at GAG in Munich from 2006-08. This was followed by further training in systemic coaching, communication, positive psychology and finally certification as a Designing your life coach in 2022. In my interactions with many teams and individuals in profit and non-profit organisations, the defining theme is constant change. Everything is in motion. Everything is in upheaval. Accelerated by AI. The question of identity and personal change has rarely been as fundamental as it is today. It’s about shaping change yourself in order to make the most of it. I invite you to start by reflecting on your skills and beliefs, getting to know your values and driving forces. From this realisation, we can then work together to create your new, contemporary (professional) future.

Rachel believes that just as we use design-thinking to optimize products and processes, we can methodically explore our own priorities, goals, and blind-spots, and design our way to a life with purpose that aligns with our values and interests. Her private coaching practice focuses on late-career explorations and life transitions. She co-founded a retreat-based life-design company, and is a member of Third Half Advisors, helping professionals who are leaving demanding careers design their next chapters. When not working, you’ll find Rachel on trail runs with her dogs, reading, or designing her yet-to-be-constructed tiny house in the Adirondacks. She is married to a toolbelt-wearing writer from the Midwest. Their blended family includes two girls, two boys, and two dogs.

Carol Pugh
From having held multiple roles in a fast-growing company, to transitioning from a small to large organization, and developing a great understanding of start-up culture, Carol’s corporate career as a strong people manager helped her gain a deep knowledge of the business and leadership skills required for success. In addition, her experience in the non-profit sector has allowed her to contribute to the development of individual leaders, influencing the processes and programs needed to support growth, improve team collaboration, and increase engagement by volunteers. Carol considers resiliency and grit to be among her greatest strengths. As the solo parent of 2 teens, she has also juggled care of aging parents and managing grief after a sudden loss, while still pursuing her own career dreams and goals. The Designing Your Life tools are a powerful addition to Carol’s 9+ year global coaching practice which includes clients in workplaces ranging from small startups to multi-national Fortune 100 firms, as well as individuals at all stages of life. She finds the DYL tools to be very effective with helping her clients articulate their big dreams for their lives, find more satisfaction in their career (or free time!), and gain clarity around their best next steps.
